Fast and Furious is an action franchise revolving around a series of well-known spy, robbery and illegal street races. The franchise features both short films an animated television series, video games, live events, movies, music videos and theme parks. It is produced by Universal Pictures and distributed worldwide. The film was released in theatres on February 5, 2020.
The movie revolves around an undercover cop named Brian O'Conner (Justin Bieber), who joins the ranks of the elite Fast and the Furious. After joining a local street race in Los Angeles, he is chosen as one of the best teams by the group leader Rico (Dante Diaz). However, in order to become the top team, Brian needs to get past the other four teams by winning a series of dangerous races against them. Once he becomes part of the group, he finds himself in the middle of a series of heists, car chases, and race against time as the group fights to complete its mission. As the team pursues their goal, they find themselves in a series of high-speed car races where they will cross paths with a series of different characters, including an undercover DEA agent and a Mexican cartel boss. As the group tries to bring down the group, they also have to contend with the rival gangs who are trying to protect their turf.
Fast and Furious was one of the most successful and anticipated films of 2020 and the film received good reviews all across the globe. The movie was one of the highest grossing films of all time with a total box office of over three hundred and eighty thousand dollars. It received three Academy Awards including Best Picture of the Year and Best Director.
